Horizon Bank Announces Maria Parrish as Community Lender
Michigan City, Indiana – Jas Singh, VP, Producing Mortgage Sales Manager, is pleased to announce Maria Parrish as Community Lender.
Ms. Parrish is based out of the Horizon office at N. Alabama St. in Indianapolis. She is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and expanding mortgage loan financing opportunities throughout Marion County and surrounding areas, with a focus on assisting first-time homebuyers and individuals who may face challenges qualifying for a conventional mortgage.
She brings fifteen years of lending experience, having served as a Consumer Lending Specialist from 2020 to 2025 with an additional ten years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer. Prior to her consumer lending career, Parrish spent ten years as an Adjunct English Professor at Ivy Tech Community College. Parrish holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in English Teaching from Indiana State University and maintains both a State of Indiana Teaching License and an NMLS Professional Lending License.
Her professional achievements include being named a First in Indiana District Consumer Lending Award recipient in 2023, serving as a Consumer Lending Champion for lending and sales training, and ranking in the top three for lending production in 2025. In addition to her professional work, Parrish remains actively involved in the community as a Broad Ripple Village Association representative.
