Horizon Bank Welcomes Mike Kemp as AVP, Branch Manager
Michigan City, Indiana – Anne Filsinger, VP, District Manager, is pleased to welcome Mike Kemp as AVP, Branch Manager at our Okemos, Michigan location.
With 13 years of banking experience, Kemp began his career as a personal banker and has spent the last 11 years as a Branch Manager, including roles as a multi-site manager. Throughout his career, he has driven growth across the districts and branches he has led.
In Kemp’s new position, he will oversee daily branch operations, coach and develop his team, and build brand awareness through community engagement and networking. He will also collaborate with partners in commercial banking, merchant services, wealth management, and mortgage lending to strengthen Horizon’s presence in the Okemos and East Lansing area.
Kemp is active in the community he serves, particularly with Junior Achievement, where he has led financial education programs for various age groups. He also dedicates time to teaching financial and fraud prevention classes, helping protect seniors and others vulnerable to scams and identity theft.
