Horizon Bank Announces Sponsorship for 18th Annual Hoosier Star
Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the $10,000 grant awarded to LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra to support the 18th Annual Hoosier Star.
The 18th Annual Hoosier Star competition, hosted by LCSO, stands as a shining example of diversity and empowerment, providing a platform for talented individuals with unique experiences to showcase their skills and reach their full potential on the Civic Auditorium stage. The funds generated by this event play a pivotal role in supporting LCSO's entire season, which includes three back-to-back education concerts aimed at fostering a love for music and culture among the youth in the community.

This year’s event will take place on September 9th at the La Porte Civic Auditorium. Hoosier Star is divided into two categories, youth and adult. Ten finalists will compete in their division, and will sing a song of their choice with the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra for a chance to be crowned the next Hoosier Star.
