Horizon Bank Awards Grant to Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County
Michigan City, IN – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the recent grant awarded to Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County in the amount of $6,000. The grant was used for a new home build in Greenwood, Indiana.
Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County was established in 2006, and has since been working hand in hand with dedicated volunteers to break the cycle of poverty and housing insecurity. The organization is working towards a future with increased capacity
that will allow for several home builds per year, while building a greater county-wide awareness of the issues associated with sub-standard housing.
On June 9th, several Horizon Bank volunteers spent the day working on the new build, putting up siding and painting. “Horizon Bank is proud to extend a helping hand to Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County. They build more than houses
for families in our community; they construct futures filled with hope, strength, and stability,” said Rob Avery, Horizon Bank’s Market President of Central Indiana.
