Horizon Bank Awards $5,000 Grant to Love Inc. of Wexford and Osceola Counties

Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the grant awarded to Love Inc. of Wexford and Osceola Counties.

Love Inc. acts as a helping hand to local families during difficult times. The organization unites a variety of congregations in a single purpose of serving, so that local churches can more effectively work together and offer real help to their neighbors. Brian Kelsey, Horizon Bank’s Commercial Loan Officer said of the grant, “Horizon is proud to support an organization that is dedicated to the betterment of the community. It’s comforting to know when a neighbor is in need, Love Inc. will be there to offer a helping hand.”

The grant is dedicated to the Higher Ground Family Learning Center. The center offers fun, free activities for the entire family and is designed to offer encouragement, support, and a chance to make new friends. Higher Ground offers classes once a week that continue for eight weeks. Classes may include parenting, stress reduction, healthy lifestyle, financial fitness, gardening, crafting, or life skills. Classes are offered for adults and teens, children's groups ages 4-12, with a nursery provided for children two years and under.
