Horizon Bank Donates $7,500 to Big Rapids Housing Commission
Michigan City, IN – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the recent donation to the Big Rapids Housing Commission. A check in the amount of $7,500 was presented by Chad Nastoff, Branch Manager, and Tom Rowland, Market President – Northern Michigan to Lisa Szynkowski, Office Coordinator and Linda Miller, Program Specialist for the Big Rapids Housing Commission.
The donation will be used towards upgrades on a playground located at Evergreen Village Apartments. The playground will see new equipment and a refined look in the upcoming months. “It feels so good to be contribute to the community and help with the efforts of installing a new playground at Evergreen Village,” said Chad Nastoff, Branch Manager of the Big Rapids Horizon Bank office.
The Big Rapids Housing Commission provides stable, quality, affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate income families throughout the community. Lisa Szynkowski, Office Coordinator for the Big Rapids Housing Commission stated, “It's a great honor to be able to accept this and to have the funds available to put in something that will enhance living to some degree around here. It’s a beautiful place and it’s nice that the residents will have something in addition to what's already here.”
