Horizon Bank Offers Special Loan Programs for Tornado Disaster Relief
Michigan City, IN — Residents and business owners of Gaylord Michigan in Otsego County affected by the recent tornado can now apply for financial assistance through special loan programs offered by Horizon Bank. The loan programs are available to help finance home and business repairs that are needed due to the recent tornado damage.
Three types of loans available are: Commercial Loans up to $10,000, Unsecured Loans up to $5,000 and Home Equity Loans up to $10,000. Applicants must meet certain loan guidelines for each type of loan. These loans are designed for local residents, businesses and nonprofit organizations to help repair or replace damaged property. That property can include real estate, inventories, supplies, machinery and equipment. The Home Equity Loans are available to home owners who have damage to single family homes.
“We were grateful to donate a total of $50,000 to the Otsego Foundation and the Otsego County United Way for disaster efforts in Gaylord, but we wanted to do more," said David Quade, Regional President of Northern Michigan. “By establishing these special loan programs we hope the residents and businesses in the area get back on the road to recovery a little sooner."
“Providing these loans programs right now is just one more way we are helping our community deal with the widespread damage caused by this devastating tornado. We are happy to provide these relief efforts to the impacted residents and business owners,” stated Allyssa Smith, Branch Manager of the Horizon Bank branch in Gaylord.
