Horizon Bank Announces Promotion of Don VanLandegent As Vice President, Senior Commercial Credit Officer
Michigan City, IN — Lynn Kerber, Horizon Bank’s Chief Commercial Banking Officer, is pleased to announce the promotion of Don VanLandegent to Vice President, Senior Commercial Credit Officer.
VanLandegent’s responsibilities include the oversight of Commercial and Small Business Underwriting, Appraisal and Environmental Services, and Government Guaranteed Lending. He will also be responsible for commercial credit policy, credit risk management, and underwriting standards, as well as continued enhancement to our technology and workflows within the Commercial and Credit departments.
VanLandegent has over 23 years of experience in the banking industry. He joined the Horizon team in 2010 as a Commercial Credit Analyst and also was a Credit Manager and Sr. Credit Manager. He earned his Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance from Western Michigan University and is involved with Hope Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, having served multiple terms as a Deacon and member of the Executive Committee; and is currently serving as a youth leader (4th – 7th Grade.)
