Horizon Bank Announces Promotion of Kenneth A. Whisenton as Community Reinvestment Act Officer
Michigan City, IN — Lewis Scott, Horizon Bank’s Vice President, Senior Community Development Officer, is pleased to announce the promotion of Kenneth A. Whisenton as Community Reinvestment Act Officer. This position will support the
oversight of the Bank’s lending, community development, and investment activities throughout Horizon Banks footprint.
Whisenton started his career as an Indiana General Assembly intern under the Pence administration where his duties included deciphering proposed financial legislation and the impact it would have on Indiana constituents. He went on to assist a Northwest
Indiana construction company to provide community restoration in low-to-moderate communities in need of vital resources.
Whisenton currently holds several board member positions surrounding community development, educational reform, small business assistance and financial literacy. This includes being a Board Member for the ECIER Foundation. Honors include:
National Honor Society for Leadership and Success; Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member and Nestle Best in Youth. He is currently attending Purdue University Northwest concentrating in finance preparing for the CFP exam.
