Horizon Donates to Urban League of Northwest Indiana

Michigan City, Indiana — Horizon Bank awarded The Urban League of Northwest Indiana a donation in the amount of $2,500 to help support their diversity and inclusion and financial literacy outreach efforts.

This donation was presented to Dr. Vanessa Allen-McCloud, President and CEO at Horizon’s Ribbon Cutting at their new office in Gary. The Urban League was the first non-profit to open a business account at the new branch.

“Horizon Bank is a great addition to the Gary community offering banking opportunities for all citizens. At their grand opening, we were excited to be was first in line to open a business account and we encourage others to consider opening accounts with them,” stated McCloud.

“At Horizon, we embrace individual, cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity. Our support of the Urban League is just one of the initiatives we’ve undertaken as part of our core values,” stated Telethia Barrett, Community Lender at Horizon.
