Horizon Bank Donates to United Way of Allen County Emergency Relief Fund April 16, 2020 12:49 PM

Fort Wayne, IN– April 16, 2020 – As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread across the country and Indiana, United Way of Allen County has been strategically working on their response. Horizon Bank is modeling what it means to LIVE UNITED by joining those strategic efforts as a financial partner.

Horizon Bank has pledged $4,500 to the Emergency Relief Fund that will be used for non-profits across Allen County that are providing lifesaving services to our neighbors during this pandemic. “Horizon Bank encourages other corporate citizens in our community to consider giving to United Way to support those affected the most by COVID-19. The sudden economic distress leaves many folks in dire situations with housing, groceries, utilities, and more. I'm proud to be with Horizon Bank which proactively steps up to support so many organizations that are helping people who are struggling” shares Drew Dunlavy, Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer at Horizon Bank.

Neighbors helping neighbors has always been part of the backbone of Allen County, but a crisis can bring new partnerships as we all work together to address the needs of our community.  “Even through this difficult time, the generosity of our community is astonishing. Allen County businesses, organizations, and individuals have aligned towards a common goal – to serve and provide for our neighbors. With community collaboration, everyone benefits” said Matthew Purkey, President & CEO of United Way of Allen County.

Horizon Bank urges you to consider donating to the Emergency Relief Fund and partnering with United Way of Allen County. Together, UNITED, we will be working hard to overcome this time of uncertainty and providing the support that our community needs.
