Horizon Bank Donates to the Capital Area United Way Emergency Relief Fund
LANSING – Horizon Bank has donated $5,000 to the Capital Area United Way Emergency Relief Fund to help provide direct assistance to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We greatly appreciate this generous donation from Horizon Bank,” said Teresa Kmetz, president and CEO Capital Area United Way. “This gift will be providing direct financial assistance to households in crisis. Because of this gift and the gifts of others, people in need of financial assistance due to the COVID-19 crisis can call 2-1-1 to initiate a rapid response to meet their basic financial obligations such as those for housing, utilities, and childcare. The commitment by Horizon Bank and its employees to help our local families affected by this pandemic is evident through their generosity and ongoing involvement.”

Central Michigan 2-1-1 is available for anyone experiencing financial hardship due to the pandemic. By simply dialing 2-1-1, a call specialist will assist in connecting them with available resources and to apply for assistance from the Emergency Relief Fund.
