Horizon Bank Donates to COVID-19 Relief
A local bank which serves Bartholomew County has donated to the United Way of Bartholomew County COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Horizon Bank donated $5,000 to the COVID-19 Relief Fund. United Way of Bartholomew County launched the fund in March to help those affected by the pandemic.
Horizon was one of the first businesses to make a gift to the fund.
“We are thankful for the United Way of Bartholomew County and their quick action to form the COVID-19 Relief Fund. During this time it is imperative that we come together and work to address the critical needs of our community,” said Brittany Diebolt, Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer for Horizon Bank.
Donations to the fund are being allocated to non-profit agencies in Bartholomew County who are working on the front lines to help address critical needs and who are working to move the community past the effects of the pandemic.
So far, about $500,000 in local donations have been collected. Nine agencies have received allocations and the fund has helped about 2,500 people in our community.
“We are so grateful for Horizon’s gift to our COVID-19 Relief Fund,” said Magen Pillar, Communications Manager at United Way of Bartholomew County. “Their donation is helping our community with tangible, critical needs during this difficult time.”
Horizon Bank has pledged $270,000 in aid for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
