PayCheck Protection Program

As a certified Small Business Administration (SBA) provider, Horizon Bank continues to monitor how Covid-Relief will be administered, along with specifics on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

The PPP provides cash-flow assistance through 100% federally guaranteed loans to employers who maintain their payroll during this emergency. The PPP provides support for up to 24 weeks of payroll, and other eligible expenses such as utilities, interest payments, and lease payments. PPP loans have the potential for forgiveness by the Small Business Administration if compliance with the program criteria is met. Payments on PPP loans are deferred for a period of up to 10 months after the end of the borrower’s “covered period” provided a forgiveness determination has not been made by the Small Business Administration.

Paycheck Protection Program Applications

The PPP Program is subject to the authorization of the United States Congress and the Small Business Administration, and approval and funding are subject to funds availability and program guidelines that are subject to change. Applications are subject to the PPP Program requirements and will be accepted for applicants within Horizon Bank’s delineated lending market, and will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis, subject to funds availability.

Existing loan customers may make an application for first-draw or second-draw PPP loans through a secure self-service portal at

Customers will need the following three data points to validate into the portal:

  • Business Tax Identification Number (TIN or SSN if Sole Proprietor)
  • Email of Authorized Representative
  • Social Security Number (SSN) of Authorized Representative

Non-Horizon Bank customer applicants will be referred to a bank representative to assist them with their application by completing this form:

All applicants must meet the requirements of the Bank’s Customer Identification Program, be within the Bank’s established lending market, and maintain a Horizon Bank business checking account for funding of loan proceeds.


Note to Agents:

Horizon Bank is not working with third-party agents on Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, either at origination or in connection with forgiveness applications. We will work directly with the borrower, including when they apply for forgiveness of any PPP loan extended to them. Horizon Bank will not pay fees to any firm claiming to be a borrower’s agent in connection with either of those processes.
