Whether your family members or friends are helping cover the costs, go in on gifts to make it easier – and more affordable. 

Follow These Easy Steps to Sleigh the Gift Giving Season

Experts anticipate gift expenses to be at an all-time high this holiday season. Luckily, splitting the cost of an expensive gift with others is effortless using Zelle®. Use Zelle® to send a request for the money owed, and up to 10 of your friends and family members can send you money directly from their mobile banking app. The money will be available to you in minutes. Follow these basic steps to get started.

Step 1: Log into the Horizon Bank app.

Step 2: Select "Send Money with Zelle®" in the main menu.

Step 3: Enroll your U.S. mobile number or email address.

Step 4: Once you’ve enrolled, select your recipient by entering their phone number or email address. Next, type in the requested amount, add a little note such as “Mom and Dad’s Gift,” and click “Request” to send! 

How Can Someone Without Zelle® Send Their Money?

Yes, you can request money from someone who doesn’t have Zelle® yet. Send a request to someone not yet enrolled, and they’ll get an email with instructions on how to do so. But for an even easier experience, have your friends and family enroll with Zelle® before sending your first request.
