Horizon Bank Supports Higher Education with Scholarships for Northwest Indiana Students
Michigan City, Indiana – The Horizon Bank Scholarship Program awarded five $1,000 scholarships to students through the Urban League of Northwest Indiana. These scholarships were presented at the Scholarship Awards Luncheon by John Freyek, Market President at Horizon.
Recipients of the Horizon Bank Scholarships included: Russell Olchawa, Trinity Davis, Luis Alvarez, James Graham III, and Emilo Munoz.
“We are honored to support these outstanding students as they pursue their educational goals,” said Freyek. “Their hard work, leadership, and dedication to their futures are inspiring. Through partnerships like the Urban League of Northwest Indiana, we are proud to help create opportunities that empower the next generation and strengthen our communities.”
The scholarships awarded were based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and potential. The application process was administered through a partnership with the Urban League of NWI Inc., along with community leaders who chose the recipients based upon scoring of set criteria.
