Horizon Bank Ranked 4th in Indiana for SBA Loan Activity
Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Indiana District Office as a top Small Business Administration lender for loan approvals in Indiana through July 2017 (10 months SBA Fiscal Year).
The SBA Loan program allows Horizon Bank to make loans to small businesses that might not otherwise qualify, or loans that are on terms beyond what bank policy would typically allow. For instance, the SBA program allows 25 year fully amortizing term loans against real estate. The program also allows the bank to make loans to higher risk industries, start-up businesses, and to borrowers who are not able to fully collateralize their loan request.
Scott Ellison, SBA/Government Loan Program Manager at Horizon, stated, “We are excited to now be a top 10 SBA Lender in both Indiana and Michigan. “The growth in the Horizon bank SBA Loan Program is a result of a commitment from Senior Bank Management for the SBA Lending Programs. They recognize how important it is for the U.S. Economy to have a strong and vibrant small business sector.”
Eric Armacast, Lead Lender Relations Specialist of the SBA said of the ranking, “We’re very encouraged to see Horizon Bank’s renewed commitment to small business in Indiana. We’re looking forward to our continued support of Horizon Bank’s SBA lending activity.”
