Horizon Bank Makes Donation to Three Oaks American Legion
Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the recent donation to the American Legion of Three Oaks, Michigan. The donation of land was offered by David Eifler, Market President of Berrien County Michigan, to Mike Shannon, Commander.
“Horizon Bank had owned this excess property for some time. When the Legion mentioned that they could make use of the land, it was an easy decision for us,” said Eifler. “Our donation reflects the connectivity that the bank has with our communities. This is just another way for us to give back to those communities that have generously supported us for many years. We feel honored and blessed to assist with this project in the Village of Three Oaks.”
Karen Cummings, Horizon Bank Branch Manager in Three Oaks, says the property comprises just over one acre of land, with two existing outbuildings. The Legion plans to use the space for storage.
“On behalf of the Three Oaks American Legion, we are gratefully appreciative of the recent transfer of property, including two storage buildings from the Branch office in Three Oaks to our Post. This generous gift will allow our Post to have additional storage space in buildings and allow for possible larger community events with the land,” stated George Mangold, Adjutant, Randall Couchman Post 204.
