Horizon Bank Donates $3,000 to the Town of Waterloo
Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the recent donation to the Town of Waterloo, Indiana. The donation, in the amount of $3,000, was presented by Larry Kummer, Market President of Northeast Indiana to Town Manager, Tena Woenker on December 7, 2017 at Waterloo Town Hall. On hand for the event was Brent Niebel Waterloo Branch Manager of Horizon Bank.
Funds will be used for a proposed Waterloo Veterans Park that will honor Waterloo Veterans. Park plans include a playground, dogpark, walking trail, pond, sledding hill, pavilion and restrooms in the south part of Waterloo.
“Thank you so much for the donation, it will help us get drawings completed and testing to determine feasibility of the new park. We feel this will be a great addition to the town and hope to begin constructing the park later this year,” stated Woenker.
“Our community has had several outstanding leaders in the various services serve in WWII, Korean War, Vietnam conflict and the Gulf War conflicts. Horizon Bank appreciates this outstanding opportunity to honor these veterans that gave their time, service, and commitment and in some cases their lives to protect and serve America,” stated Kummer.
