Franklin, Indiana: To support those affected by COVID-19, Horizon Bank has donated $3,000 to the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County for the purchase of food for hungry families in the local community.

“Community Partners like Horizon Bank help us keep up with the need in our community, and they continue to rise to the challenge when their help is needed the most,” explained Executive Director Carol Phipps.

This isn’t the first time the Pantry has received a donation from Horizon Bank.

“Horizon Bank has a history of supporting the Pantry,” said John Veech, president of the Pantry’s board of directors.  “When we redesigned our client experience a couple of years ago, they provided funds to purchase new stand-up coolers.  Their generosity has made a difference for Johnson County residents through the years.”

Horizon Bank hopes that other businesses will join them in supporting the Pantry.

“Horizon Bank encourages other corporate citizens in our community to consider giving to The Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County to support those affected the most by COVID-19. The sudden economic distress leaves many folks in dire situations with food insecurity. I'm proud to be with Horizon Bank which proactively steps up to support so many organizations that are helping people who are struggling,” stated David Bedwell, Market President of Central Indiana.
