Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon has recognized Advisors Kari Comstock, John Freyek, Pete Needler, Jennifer Stich with the Spirit of Community Service Award.
Kari Comstock, VP, Mortgage Loan Originator, was honored for her dedication to her clients and community and her commitment to making a meaningful difference.
Comstock has lent her time and energy to countless causes. She serves on the board of Cadillac Habitat for Humanity, is a board member of Healing Private Wounds, and is an active elder in her church. She recently also received the Outstanding Citizen Award from the Chamber of Commerce in her market.
“I am truly honored to receive this award. Serving others has always been a passion of mine, whether helping families achieve homeownership, supporting local organizations, or simply being there for someone in need,” expressed Comstock.
John Freyek, Market President - Lake County, has dedicated years of his time, talent, and leadership to organizations that strengthen communities, support local families, and create opportunities for future generations.
“I am humbled to receive this award and grateful for the opportunity to serve our community alongside so many dedicated individuals.” stated Freyek.
Freyek dedication to community service is evident through his involvement with organizations across the region. From serving as Board Treasurer for Methodist Hospitals to leadership roles with Legacy Foundation, Opportunity Enterprises and many others, Freyek leads by example and remains committed to making a positive difference.
Pete Needler, VP, Sr. Commercial Loan Officer, exemplifies what it means to serve others, making a commitment to investing in people a cornerstone of both his professional and personal life.
Needler generously dedicates his time to mentoring colleagues and helping them grow as future leaders, while also making a lasting impact throughout the Fishers community. Through his involvement with Mudsock Youth Athletics, Southeastern Elementary's PTO, and Fishers Fast swim meets, he helps create meaningful opportunities for young athletes and students.
“I am grateful for this recognition and share it with all the volunteers, coaches, educators, and community members who work together every day to make a positive impact,” stated Needler.
Jennifer Stich, Funding Manager, has transformed her journey into a source of hope and support for others. As a cancer survivor, she has dedicated her time and energy to ensuring that individuals and families facing breast cancer never have to walk that path alone.
Stich truly embodies the spirit of community service. Through her volunteer work with the INDY Foundation, a Minnesota-based non-profit dedicated to supporting real-life Warriors during their cancer battle, she has used her personal experience to inspire, support, and advocate for others facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
“Receiving this award is deeply meaningful, but the greatest reward is knowing that together we can help others feel supported, encouraged, and never alone,” Stich stated.
