Horizon Bank Partners with Benton Harbor Promise to Offer Minority Scholarship Program in Berrien County, Michigan
Horizon Bank announces a scholarship program designed to encourage minority students to pursue a higher education while assisting to fund such an endeavor.
James Neff, Executive Vice President of Horizon commented “Horizon’s Diversity Business Council developed the Minority Scholarship Program to encourage minority students to pursue higher educations. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and future potential.”
To apply, certain requirements such as the student must be a current or past graduate of a high school in Berrien County, Michigan must be met and applications must be submitted to Benton Harbor Promise. The application process is administered through a partnership with Horizon Bank and Benton Harbor Promise along with community leaders who will choose the recipients based upon scoring of set criteria.
