Horizon Bank Donates to Town of Waterloo

Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the recent donation to the Town of Waterloo, Indiana. The donation, in the amount of $5,000, was presented by Larry Kummer, Market President of Northeast Indiana to Town Manager, Tena Woenker on January 8th at Waterloo Town Hall. On hand for the event were the following Horizon employees; Kristine Gruwell, Waterloo Branch Manager, Molly Allen, Auburn Branch Manager, and Dr. Daniel Schmidt, Advisory Board Member of Horizon Bank.
Funds will be used to restore Francis Thomas Memorial Park, located on West Van Vleek Street in Waterloo, Indiana which burned in March 2015. The renewed park will be utilized by children in the communities of Waterloo, Ashley & Auburn.
About Francis Thomas Memorial ParkThe park is located just west of the downtown, and provides a large playground area, modern restrooms and a bandstand. The park also has an open-air pavilion for use in warmer weather and an historic train depot for year-round use. Both are available to rent for reunions and other gatherings.
